This is the tomb of Emperor Gaozong and Empress Wu Zetian who was the first female emperor of China who ruled for 15 years. She’s extremely famous and has been portrayed in many different bodies of work. Some portray her positively, some portray her negatively as she was controversial, female, a good emperor and accused of murder. It’s found on the peak of Liangshan about 80 km from Xi’an. It was built in 684 and was originally enclosed by 2 walls and an inner wall which surrounded a trapezoid shape made from 4 walls. The tomb hasn’t been excavated yet but visible on the outside are ornamental pillars (Huabiao). There’s also statues of pairs of winged horses and pairs of rose finches outside the tomb.
